Ordering was easy, I worked with Chris to make sure that I was set for delivery, and the only issue (not even that) was how I was going to get the cutter unloaded off the truck considering I don't have a forklift or bucket. But I sprang for liftgate delivery and it was worth it. It still took some effort to get the mower onto the liftgate and get that lowered correctly, but after some back and forth with the driver we got it down.
There was no real assembly, I just put oil into the gearbox and checked the lube fittings and hooked it up to my tractor. The deck is strong enough to stand on, all the fittings appear to me to be heavy duty, and the shaft hooked up to both the cutter and my Ford with ease.
The past two days I cut 7 acres of old cow pasture with it that had gone to seed for 3 years. I had scrub cedar saplings, 4 ft thistles, brambles, gopher mounds, and a bunch of tree of heaven mixed in with the weeds and tall grass, and the Pinnacle cut through it all with ease. The fields look clean and in a couple of weeks I'll lower the mower deck and give them a tighter cut for the summer.
So... great tool, great price, great people to work with, great experience. I recommend both the cutter and Homestead.
These guys are easy to deal with and veterans!
I checked my 2 local tractor dealers looking for a brush cutter... they had limited stock, were more expensive, charged for local delivery, and were offering a lighter duty unit with shear bolts instead of a slip clutch.
Homestead delivered my unit ahead of schedule to my door, in my selected color, at a better price.
Plus this thing is a BEAST!
So happy with these guys at Homestead... you can't go wrong.
Bought this a few weeks ago and just came, It very well built and it matches the color of my Branson perfectly. The customer service was also great, they answered all of my questions and took the time to talk. They were a 10/10 to work with.
