Best-Selling Implements & What They Can Do for Your Homestead

Best-Selling Implements & What They Can Do for Your Homestead

With almost two full years under our belt, we are starting to see some noticeable trends in customers, implements, and seasonality.

This past year hit some remarkable highs for Homestead Implements, with these five best-selling attachments leading the way for most metrics.

We've found that these attachments' versatility and constant usage around a homestead make them a "must-buy" for anyone with a tractor and projects.

Here are the five best-selling implements that can make an immediate impact on your homestead and provide solutions for years to come.

Grapples

Our extensive collection of grapples includes Sub-Compact Grapples, Brush Grapples, Root Grapples, John Deere Grapples, and Heavy-Duty Utility Grapples.

Our company has evolved, so, too, have our best-selling products. Quickly establishing themselves as an incredibly popular implement in the industry, grapples have numerous usages and benefits to the homesteader.

As we continue to ship this attachment throughout the country, here are a few projects you might find considerably more manageable with a Homestead Implements front-end grapple attachment.

Projects for Grapples:

  • Removing fallen trees, limbs, or unwanted debris
  • Collecting brush piles
  • Removing roots from planting areas such as gardens, food plots, new yards, or landscaping projects
  • Carrying material to a job site
  • Unloading your next attachment from Homestead Implements!

Box Blades

Box Blades are crucial for an assortment of tasks around the homestead.

These sturdy, rectangular implements with ripping shanks and grading blade make quick work of washed-out gravel driveways, fill in low spots, revive compacted stone, and clear new trails through your property.

An Independence or Pinnacle Series Box Blade will drastically improve your ability to shape and care for your homestead with nearly universal compatibility, several working widths, aggressive ripping shanks, and adjustable depth.

Projects for Box Blades:

  • Spreading gravel, soil, mulch, or other landscaping materials
  • Reviving compacted stone or gravel roads
  • Clearing away sod from new planting areas or landscaping projects
  • Snow removal

Snow Equipment

Despite snow not impacting the entire country, we certainly sold enough Snow Pushers and Snow Plows this past season to make it seem like it does.

Our factory in Jamestown, New York, expects an average of 107 inches of snowfall each year. This weather prepares us to manufacture snow equipment that can endure cold weather and snow season after season.

We offer Snow Equipment for almost every tractor, including compatible John Deere®, that will keep your driveway clear and homestead accessible for years to come.

Projects for Snow Equipment:

  • Snow removal
  • Clearing driveways, parking areas, roads, trails, and more of snow
  • Managing large piles of material and clearing away ice build-up without damaging paved driveways

Land Planes

We often suggest Land Planes as an alternate to Box Blades for homesteaders with longer driveways or roads that require more than the routine seasonal "refresh."

The Land Plane features the same aggressive and adjustable depth ripping shanks of the Box Blade but follows behind that with dual, angled grading blades.

This design allows the revived material to pass over the top of the edges, filling holes as you move and allowing the remaining material to slide out of the open end of the attachment and not spill over the sides.

Projects for Land Planes:

  • Regrading and routine maintenance of roads, trails, and driveways
  • Reviving compacted stone and gravel
  • Evenly spreading the material over an uneven surface

Brush Cutters

Although not quite as "multi-purpose" as the other best-selling implements mentioned in this piece, a Brush Cutter will make a significant difference in how you approach seasonal maintenance around your homestead.

Homestead Implements Brush Cutters will comfortably cut saplings and young trees up to 2" in diameter, pushing back the brushy areas of your homestead. This impressive attachment harnesses power from an aggressive gearbox and results in a rotary cutter with the precision of a finish mower.

A Brush Cutter may not be a "four-season" attachment like some others, but you would be hard-pressed to find someone with a Homestead Implements Brush Cutter who regrets their purchase. Not to mention, aside from Grapples, this may be the most fun attachment you can own!

Projects for Brush Cutters:

  • Clearing overgrown areas of the property
  • Pushing back property lines, brush, and fast-growing plants
  • Clear cutting desired areas for potential gardens, food plots, or lawn expansions
  • Managing large fields, livestock areas, and roadside overgrowth

Plenty of other implements could make this best-sellers list, like Post-Hole Diggers, Landscape Rakes, or Pallet Forks. However, these five implements are constantly working through our production line and out the door to homesteads throughout North America.

We are ecstatic about the possibilities this year for Homestead Implements and know that none of this would be possible without an enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and devoted customer base!
