What Grapple is Right for Your Tractor?

How to Find the Perfect Tractor Grapple for Your Homestead!

If there is one attachment taking the tractor world by storm, it is most definitely the front-end grapple. Homestead Implements is excited to expand our lineup once again, with a lightweight ¼" Hardox 450 Independence Series Grapple specifically engineered for tractors between 15 and 30 horsepower. We have also added two additional widths to our best-selling Pinnacle Series Root Grapple, now available in 55" and 66" working widths.

We build all of our grapples with Hardox 450 steel, powerful cylinders, mechanical stops, and a unique flat-bottom design that allows the attachment to stand upright when not hooked to your tractor. With all of these sizes, styles, and specs, it might be hard to determine which Homestead Implements grapple is best for your tractor. This blog should alleviate some concerns for the first-time grapple buyer and help you purchase the correct implement for your homestead.

(Homestead Implement Grapples are not designed or intended to push or ram standing trees, poles, or buildings. We did not design the top lid to withstand excessive pulling force or remove severely impacted or embedded materials. 3rd Function Hydraulic Kit is required for the operation of all Homestead Implements Grapples.)

Independence Series Grapples for Sub-Compact Tractors:

This new style of grapple is our only Independence Series Grapple. Specifically designed for sub-compact tractors between fifteen and thirty horsepower, this lightweight attachment is a versatile tool for small tractors with limited lifting capacity. At 54" wide and only 190 pounds, the Independence Series Grapple for Sub-Compact Tractors is perfect for moving brush piles, relocating medium boulders, carrying fence posts, and transporting small to medium-sized logs. This grapple is an excellent all-purpose attachment for any smaller homestead looking to improve their sub-compact tractor's effectiveness.

  • 54” = 190 Pounds
  • 9" Serrated Hardox 450 Steel Teeth, ¼" Thick

Our Pinnacle Series Brush Grapples are perfect for the do-it-yourself homesteader or compact tractor owner looking to clear brush piles, collect fallen limbs, and take care of moderate projects around their property. The Brush Grapple only has 8" long teeth and is not recommended for digging to remove roots or other items. This attachment is available in two sizes, 60" and 72" as well as five standard powder coat colors.

This slate of grapples is by far our best-selling attachment, and for a good reason. The Pinnacle Series Root Grapples, now available in four widths (55", 60", 66", and 72"), are perfect do-it-all attachments that genuinely elevate the performance of any tractor under fifty-five horsepower. With 13" Hardox 450 teeth, the Pinnacle Series Root Grapple will remove roots, transport medium to large logs, and eradicate thick underbrush or invasive plants with ease. The lightweight design maximizes the lift capacity of your compact tractor without sacrificing performance or durability. If you are looking for a grapple that can completely change the way you manage your property, the Pinnacle Series Root Grapple will do precisely that.
